Mike Connors
Born as Krekor Ohanian on 15 August 1925 in Fresno (California).
The man with Armenian ancestors served during the 2nd World War in the Air Force after the war he began a more half-heartedly studying law, his original career goal was, however, to be an actor. After a few appearances at amateur groups he got from the film company RKO a first chance in the thriller "Sudden Fear" (1952, marriage to Satan, also masked the heart), alongside Joan Crawford and Jack Palance. He still was listed as "Touch Connors" in the cast, "Touch" was the nickname he had acquired an enthusiastic basketball player during the university time. After several further more or less irrelevant cinema productions and numerous series appearances was Connors in 1965 with Gottfried Reinhardt's war comedy "Situation Hopeless ... But Not Serious" (1965, Situation hopeless but not serious) on the side of Alec Guinness and the character of Sgt Lucky Finder also internationally known. One of his best screen roles was that of the player Hatfield in the remake of John Ford's Western classic "Stagecoach" (1966, San Fernando), with the TV series "Mannix" Mike Connors reached absolute then celebrity status. Numerous awards confirm its popularity, several times he received an Emmy for Best Actor Series, four Golden Globe nominations revealed its popularity, 1970 he could take the trophy back home.

The actor has been more than fifty years married to Mary Lou Wiley, has two children and is now a proud grandfather.
